A special twilight Lantern Parade will be taking place on the Sunday evening of Camp Bestival Shropshire this year. Led by a five piece band, the parade will gather in Weston Woods, awakening the animals and mythical beasts that reside in this beautiful woodland. We will then be travelling across the festival site, arriving at the lake for some special one-off performances. Festival goers will have had the opportunity to create beautiful lanterns throughout the weekend at out lantern making workshops* (run by Cirque Bijou) and can carry these as part of the parade, illuminating this magical walk. There will also be larger pre-made puppets and lanterns as part of the parade, bringing larger creatures of the woods along for the journey.
*All materials will be provided, and we will have expert lantern-makers on hand to help you bring your visions to life.
