The Shellac Collective welcome you to the Pig’s Big Ballroom at Camp Bestival Shropshire once more – It’s Great to be back! For those new to the festival, the Pig’s Big Ballroom is a place where you can relax and enjoy the very best in vintage sounds and quality live acts from across the UK.
A plethora of live acts Join our troupe of seasoned Shellac Collective DJs spinning original 78rpm shellac discs and this year we are thrilled to have Camp Bestival favourites, The Black Kat Boppers rocking the joint, 4D Jones playing rhythm and blues with a twist, Irish Jigs and Reels from The Hooligans, plus cheerful death and murder balladeers The Henry Brothers back to the Ballroom this year.
New to the Pig’s Big Ballroom this year we are being joined by the country influenced sounds of Lexie Green and the Indigo Blue and The Moonshine Sisters, Acoustic Duo The Hedge Inspectors, folk ballad rockers The Mardlers, Norfolk’s finest skifflers The Hedge Monkey’s Skiffle Troupe, plus a chance for some foot-stomping from The Twelve Sullivans presenting their brand of Kick-Arse Celtic folk.
A big welcome to 2023 Under-18 Cambridge Band Competition winners - Soulsters the 29th Funktion. And, we’re absolutely delighted to welcome the Smith-Brewer band with their accomplished Americana-flavoured originals.
Stepping up a gear on Sunday night we’re thrilled to present Flesh Tetris. With their inimitable mix of the best bits of electronica, indie rock, post punk, disco and new wave, London’s Fresh Tetris have created a movement all of their own. As usual there will be some great entertainment and fun for all the family as Fairy liquid brings you magic and bubbles, and PuppeTails present’s Grimm’s Puppetails. These puppeteers (none of whom take things seriously) will make you laugh as they charm you with their hand-made puppets and cleverly crafted scripts.
Last but not least We once again are delighted to invite you to come up on stage yourselves fronting Karauke. If you’ve always dreamed of being the lead singer of your own band, we can help you! If you haven’t, then now’s your chance to try!
