Our first-ever Camp Bestival Shropshire opened its gates last weekend bringing the genuinely eye-popping, mind-expanding, and unforgettable family festi-holiday experience to Weston Park.
“Josie and I are over the moon with the support we’ve received for our very first Camp Bestival Shropshire. We’d like to thank every single family for making the weekend so special from watching you jump in the lake, fall off a paddleboard, lounge in a hot tub, watch the circus in awe, learn a new skill, watch an act you’ve never heard of and been blown away or fall in love with Fatboy Slim all over again. We’ve received such a warm welcome from all the new faces we’ve met and have genuinely loved meeting each and every one of you. It’s been such a joy to watch families camping together and experiencing everything we’ve packed up in our magic trunk of delights in such a beautiful setting. We cannot wait to come back and see you again next summer!” Rob da Bank
We are delighted that Camp Bestival Shropshire have made Weston Park their home for this jam-packed, fun-filled family festival. It is brand new to the region and everyone had a truly wonderful time. We are very much looking forward to next year already!” Colin Sweeney, CEO of the Weston Park Foundation
An incredible line-up of pop megastars headlined this year’s festival including Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Bewdley born Becky Hill, to legendary DJ Fatboy Slim who inspired the next generation of mini ravers with iconic tracks including Praise You and Right Here, Right Now. King of the party bangers Example rocked the Camp Bestival Shropshire Park Stage, whilst Britpop legends Shed Seven injected some indie disco into the weekend and Scouting For Girls brought their pop-rock singalong sounds.
Gok Wan brought the party vibes during his DJ set in the Big Top, featuring a surprise appearance on stage from friend Becky Hill alongside her Dad, dancing along to a mix of uplifting pop songs and soulful House music.
From Cosmic Kids Yoga and Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors to Brainiac Live: Remixed! there was something for everyone. A mind-blowing distillation of everything that made Camp Bestival Dorset so special, Camp Bestival Shropshire had all the unique and wonderful elements that make Camp Bestival a truly magical experience for all ages.
Cirque Bijou acrobats thrilled crowds each night with spellbindingly entertaining performances dangling high amongst the eccentric offerings in the enchanting Caravanserai. Families jumped for joy on the quite simply massive World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle, enjoyed a creative extravaganza with Mister Maker, released their inner monkey climbing the trees of the Dingly Dell, and sparked imaginations with fun-filled shows and hands-on workshops at the H&M Kids present Science area.
Those looking for some family downtime enjoyed much needed time out in the Slow Motion wellness area, with an array of vitalising wellness activities including Water & Flame Wild Spa, Ice Baths, Wild Swimming, Paddle-boarding, Breathwork & Yoga, a Sleep Retreat and more – all located in Weston Park’s immaculate grounds designed by England’s greatest gardener, Capability Brown.
Camp Bestival Shropshire wouldn’t be complete without ending the weekend with the famous Fireworks Spectacular, engulfing the beautiful Weston Hall in a bath of sound and lights in celebration of an incredible first year in Shropshire.

“Last night was full of the joy, nonsense, and love that only Camp Bestival produces. An honour to always be part of the family frolics, in the new location I felt like the cock of the North except I was a parrot!” Fatboy Slim
