Make and Create Fashion & Textile World

Fashion and Textile World

Welcome to Fashion & Textile World – a wonderous creative space bursting with creative hands, activities, and workshops. From customising to upcycling, knitting and macrame to woodblock printing, we’ve got some amazing experts on hand to teach you some new skills and get your creativity going. There’s something for everybody of every age with regular workshops happening across the weekend. All workshops are appropriate for a range of ages, completely free of charge and will last between 1-2hrs long. Workshops will run from Thursday through to Sunday evening and all materials are provided. At the festival, just make sure to book onto your favourite workshop the day before. For more booking info, take a read at the bottom of the page.

Get creative with Cheryl and her  Textile Junkies team who will once again be bringing a huge range of exciting workshops to Fashion and Textile world. This year they have even more crafts for you! Here you can sew together your own festival accessories and make some art décor for your bedroom such as a fairy lamp or a wall hanging. On another table you can bring life into old clothes by learning block printing techniques. Weaving and macrame workshops will also run all weekend long for those looking for a slightly longer session where you can really immerse yourself.

New for 2024, The Textile Junkies will be bringing a rummage rail for you to choose a garment from and then learn how to upcycle your clothing. Feel free to also bring your own clothes too. Why buy new garments when you can save your old ones from landfill and turn them into something new and groovy!

In addition to these workshops there will also be a drop-in textile table which does not require booking. Together we will create a Camp Bestival textile wall of art which we will build year on year. Alternatively, If you just want to sit back with some knitting needles on a comfy sofa, drop into our crochet corner and learn the techniques which will start your new favourite hobby. Keep your ears peeled for more updates and artists that will be joining us here!
