For those in the know, Caravanserai is the epicentre of unexpected adventure. A tumbledown paradise of retro caravans and vintage waltzers encircling a stunning stage, lounging space galore and delightful cocktail bar, it’s literally bursting with bohemian beauty. With this year’s line-up featuring all-embracing entertainment, amazing music and death defying highwire and trapeze from Cirque Bijou, it’s the place where you’ll find a mellower kind of mirth to rest and recharge in the mid-afternoons. But come the gloaming Caravanserai will mutate into a thrillingly outrageous hotbed of off-kilter amusements that will take your breath away.
“Caravanserai is the full festival Monty, a mosh pit of vibes and a playground fit for the oldest adult and youngest kid, with a Vibo Meter turned up to 12, and your own surreal lounge we made for you!” - DJ Chris Tofu - Caravanserai Curator & Continental Drifts’ Vibe Controller
This year’s instalment of mind-blowing music and mischief makers joining Caravanserai at Camp Bestival’s second Weston Park excursion include a DJ set from EMF frontman James Atkin, DJ Chris Tofu, kings of surf-noir The Bikini Beach Band, purveyors of ska-hop-dub-funk, The Midnight Zu, the New Orleans inspired horns of New York Brass Band, and Caravanserai mainstay Count Skylarkin.
The wonder stage’s Shropshire outing also boasts appearance from Austria’s Deadbeatz, The Baghdaddies, DJ Bobby Friction, Big Band of Boom, John E Vistic, Mighty Vipers, Heavy Beat Brass Band, The Vagaband, East Angles Brass Band, Tarantism Disco Set, Cat in the Hat and Over The Hillbillies.
If you’re looking for unusual escapades fuelled by circus treats and vintage beats, then Caravanserai needs to be at the top of your must-do list.
