Caravanserai entrance

Caravanserai

“Caravanserai is your living room and the stage is the fireplace. Warm your hands on the vibes of the flames”Chris Tofu

Caravanserai is the festival inside a festival, created by the visionary artist Pete Bateman, a mix of installations and fairground brought to life with amazing live acts and death-defying high wire and trapeze to form a Fellini wonder world unlike any other in the world, all curated by Continental Drifts and Cirque Bijou.

Caravanserai continues to grow it’s eclectic mash-up of societies leftovers. From entering through the side of a gatecrashing caravan explore a scene of chopped-up trailers, abandoned waltzers, circus, a cocktail bar, bands, DJs, cafe and a late-night cabaret, all circled by a ridiculous selection of unique hang-outs.

Pig's Big Ballroom

Pig’s Big Ballroom is a Camp Bestival institution. The epicentre of the authentic old school, it’s where you’ll find beats, rhymes and giddy rhythms played by crack DJs on shellac 78s or from high octane live bands who all know a thing or two about styles as exotic and exciting as R&B, swing, skiffle, jazz, African, Latin, calypso, rock-a-billy, and rock and roll. Governed by the dashing Greg of Greg’s Greats renown and home to the mighty Shellac Collective, Pig’s Big Ballroom is a twisting, jiving, Shropshire-shaking den of delights that’s not to be missed.
